Deep Sky
Open Star Cluster
Constellation  Auriga

This is considered as dusty emission nebula, located some 12,000 light years from earth.  The glowing gas is some 100 light-years across, and like most nebulas, the stellar winds sculpt it.  As you can see, the star cluster is just below the dark dust cloud, (these stars are the ngc 1893) it is estimated that these stars formed some 4 million years ago.  Considering the earth is 4 Billion years plus, these are mire youngsters.  This is considered the youngest open clusters to be catalogued.  The two dark streamers from the central region give it the name of tadpole nebula.  The streamers are some 10 light-years long.
