Distance 1,305 light-years
There are some 20 stars in this open cluster. It also is one of the
nearest open clusters to earth. It is also in the unique
position for transition from T Tauri activity to the Zero Age Main
Wequence.
A lot of the open clusters can be found in both Monoceros and Puppis,
because it is a dust free region of our Milky Way spiral arm..
